Two militants are killed by security forces in the Khyber district
Two terrorists were killed by security forces during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the tribal district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Saturday.
According to the military's media wing, security personnel carried out the IBO during the night of August 18–19 in response to reports of terrorist activity in the Khyber district's Bara area.
"Intense fire exchange took place between own troops and terrorists during the course of operation," it continued. "Two terrorists were sent to hell as a result."
According to the ISPR, the terrorists who were slain were still actively engaging in attacks on security personnel and the murder of innocent bystanders.
