Two militants are killed by security forces in the Khyber district

Two terrorists were killed by security forces during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the tribal district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Saturday. According to the military's media wing, security personnel carried out the IBO during the night of August 18–19 in response to reports of terrorist activity in the Khyber district's Bara area. "Intense fire exchange took place between own troops and terrorists during the course of operation," it continued. "Two terrorists were sent to hell as a result." Terrorist attack in North Waziristan claims 11 lives.

At least 11 people have been killed in a terrorist attack in Shawwal tehsil of North Waziristan, Terrorists blew up a vehicle carrying laborers by detonating explosives, Deputy Commissioner Rehan Gul Khattak said. The blast left 11 laborers dead and two severely wounded.  Officials said the wounded and the bodies have been shifted to the hospital.  Government officials said the deceased belonged to the South Waziristan tehsil of Makin and Wana.
